Things have taken a little bit of a lull for me in my garden in terms of plants, however the need for work never stops. With cooler weather and one child back at school, it was more reasonable for me to freshen up my garden gate and shed with a new coat of paint!
While painting, I couldn’t help thinking “why haven’t I done this earlier?”. I think sometimes we become blind to things that are turning old, needing getting rid of, or fixed up. We become used to things as they are and accept it as acceptable.
I want to challenge myself in the coming months as Autumn arrives, by looking at things in the garden with a more critical eye. I am going to be more ruthless and get rid of things that could allow my space to look more fresh and tidy up items long overdue for some TLC!
Autumn is generally ‘clear-up’ time in my garden space, so next on my list is to sharpen up the shears!
