It never ceases to amaze me how dead-looking twigs/ vines/ branches burst out with new buds. There is nothing left on them during winter, to the point I am left wondering if I have killed them by mistake? The fatal error of getting rid of some of these plants was almost made when I first moved into my home.
This week I am celebrating 3 things:
1. A rose cutting I planted a good 2-3 YEARS ago has Finally got new buds showing on it!! It’s from one of my favourite yellow rose bushes.
People keep saying roses are one of the easiest plants to cut and grow…um…not for me it seems! I guess it sometimes pays to hang on to cuttings that are alive, even though they may not be producing anything just at the moment.
2. My good old hardy clematis vines are coming to life again. I went through a period of guilt last year when I pruned them thinking I may have been too enthusiastic
I must thank everyone who has been ‘liking’ and commenting on my blogs so far, it’s very kind and encouraging of you!
